About Me

My name is Rachel Hesse and this will be my 13th year in education. This will be my 3rd year running our Bridge Autism program at Boltz Middle School.

I am a Wisconsin native, but love the Colorado mountains. Outside of the classroom I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, backpacking and rock climbing. I also help coach our cross country, track and soccer teams at Boltz.

My Classroom

The Bridge Autism program at Boltz Middle School serves students who receive moderate to extensive supports navigating their school day. We focus on academic, functional and social emotional growth in this program. Inclusion in general education operates on a 50/50 model, accessing grade level instruction in whole group, general education setting and small group, specialized instruction. Our classroom thrives with routines, sensory spaces, emotional regulation tools and social skill development.
